The Province of Bolzano-Bozen, also referred to as Alto Adige or South Tyrol, (also spelled South Tirol), is an autonomous province in northern Italy. It is one of the two provinces that make up the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, which is itself an autonomous region. The province has an area of 7,400 square kilometres (2,857 sq mi) and a total population of more than 500,000 inhabitants. Its capital is the city of Bolzano (German: Bozen; Ladin: Balsan or Bulsan). The majority of the population speaks an Austro-Bavarian dialect of German and consider themselves ethnically Tyrolean. About a quarter of the province is Italian-speaking and a small minority speaks Ladin as their mother language. Font: Wikipedia

That's lovely, like an abstract painting!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ciel, beautiful image..it's a bit like tracks on the beach first thing in the morning before the crowds mess it all up.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the first skaters on the lake after a fresh snow feel a little extra pressure because they will leave tracks.
ReplyDeleteCan be dangerous going skating on an unploughed frozen lake, but it made for an interesting photo. We have seen several accidents on our ices in the last few weeks.
ReplyDeleteSomebody was having fun. Were you able to decipher any coded messages from those tracks?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like someone was doing some very fancy moves on those skates.
ReplyDeleteTook me a minute before I figured out the wonderful, abstract designs here. Someone knows how to figure skate. Great photo, Karl.
ReplyDeleteFantastic. You followed some ice dancers onto the ice!
